Scouting Loses One Of Its Own

Melvin Spell Sr. died last night .... Melvin was involved in Scouting for over 30 years in the Holmes County, Mississippi area... He was a Scoutmaster of the Boy Scout Troop 64 in Lexington. During his scouting time he lead many scouts to Philmont Boy Scout Ranch in Cimarron, NM, making this trip on ten different occasions. He was a Vigil member of the Order of the Arrow. He received the prestigious awards of Wood Badge and the Silver Beaver.. He will be greatly missed by his family as well as by the boys and men he led as a loyal Scoutmaster. He was devoted to and loved Scouting! Please keep his family in your prayers.......
